Here Comes Book Two of the Little Jenna Jafferty Series

Sitting on pins and needles is the best way to describe how I have been feeling for the last couple of weeks awaiting my complimentary box of Little Jenna Jafferty in Changes, Challenges & Chuckles books from my publisher.

But Hooray! It’s time to get off the pin cushion because the books finally arrived yesterday afternoon and my excitement continues to build!

This means it won’t be long before Little Jenna Jafferty’s continued antics and adventures in the second book of the series are released for sale. A press release will be written up by my publisher and a video book trailer made and released as well. After that, book sellers everywhere will begin to offer  Little Jenna Jafferty in Changes, Challenges & Chuckles to the public. Whoo Hoo!

Just as little Jenna Jafferty’s mom commemorates exciting events with photographs, so will I, LOL!

And these are Terra’s thoughts for today.

Little Jenna Jafferty Speaks Up And Out

Hi! My name is Little Jenna Jafferty and I love adventures, exploring places and doing stuff. I have heaps of curiosity and some say a stubborn streak that causes me to do some funny things sometimes. Hee Hee!

I love my Mommy, Daddy, big sister Janine and baby brother Jason. They all sometimes get caught up in my adventures too. Whoops! But I have the most fun with my big sister, Janine.

The lady posting this is my creator and because of me, she is an author now. She used to be just like me back in the 1960s but has changed since she growed all up. And that’s why I had to keep whispering to her to let me say something. I think she did because she is getting really impatient for her next book to be released. So now she’s just like me again, hee, hee!

I’ll tell you a secret. But Shh! This has to be our secret! I mean, my creator didn’t think of this at all. I had to scold her for not writing anything about our first book here! There is only stuff about our next one. She finally listened!

Okay, inside our first book called “Here Comes Little Jenna Jafferty”, you will find out how I went swimming with a worm, how I drove Daddy’s car, oh yes, I did! And why I couldn’t teach frogs to jump. You will find out how a birthday cake can be a nightmare and why I don’t like carnivals. You will even learn what PP and QQ means! (Giggles)

So, here are the chapters from our first book:

  • Who Is Little Jenna Jafferty
  • Behind the Wheel
  • First Fishing Trip
  • Jump, Frog, Jump
  • Sugar and Spice
  • Sugar Daddy
  • Creek Adventure
  • Honey Bear Bank
  • Birthday Cake Nightmare
  • Alligator Fish
  • Jenna Goes to the Carnival
  • The Sad Puppy

As I am sure you have guessed by now, Little Jenna Jafferty just had to be heard. She was running around in my brain speaking to me and would not be quiet. And when Jenna speaks, I listen, lol! That is how I became an author after all.

And these are Terra’s thoughts for today.

The Making of The Little Jenna Jafferty Book Series For Children

I’ve had several fans ask me what I thought about when I decided to write The Little Jenna Jafferty Series. So I thought I would share my thoughts on the making of the Little Jenna Jafferty Book Series for children  with everyone.

First and foremost, I wanted to write  stories that would make children laugh. One of the reasons for that was because I loved to laugh as a child and actually have never outgrown it. Humor has a wonderful way of making the not so nice things in life fade away and not seem so pressing anymore. Laughter is contagious and just feels oh so good any time, anywhere, no matter our age. Well, except for in the middle of a church sermon maybe, lol!

Another goal I had in mind was parents and grandparents. Being both, I know from experience that kids have their favorite books and stories that they like to have read to them over and over. Many times, to an adult, it gets very tedious simply because the story content is geared toward children and children only. This got me to thinking…

Read, Relate and Reminisce

I wanted to write stories that not only were favorites for the children, but that adults would like and wouldn’t mind reading over and over because there were elements in the books geared towards them as well. I was thinking I wanted to pen books that parents/grandparents, in short, could “read, relate, and reminisce” with their children/grandchildren.

The long version is “read”, well, that’s self explanatory, lol! The “relate” part is where I determined the setting for The Little Jenna Jafferty Book Series would take place in the past, including things that the older generations could relate to. Then as they related, the “reminisce” part would naturally follow. It was my hope that certain incidents and experiences that Little Jenna Jafferty encountered would remind the parents and grandparents of stories from their childhood that they would in turn share with their children and grandchildren. This would open the door for quality sharing time for all.

Bottom line though, is that I wanted all generations who read The Little Jenna Jafferty Book Series to be entertained and experience an enjoyable read. And based on some of the Praises the first book in the series “Here Comes Little Jenna Jafferty” is getting, I believe I’m right on target.

And those are Terra’s Thoughts for today.
